Bones, bones...

Today I went to Natural History Museum to study some bones. It is the best place to do that. So here are couple of pictures from location and couple of sketchbook pages.

Live Drawing session

Hi everyone. It was a while when I posted something last time so I decided to do that today. Yesterday me and my colleague went to one of museums in Helsinki. That is where Live Drawing takes place. It was such a fun time I even didn't noticed how 2 hours passed by. So here I want to share some pictures of my sketches I did. Model changed poses every 10 minutes. So it is reasonable time to put some nice pencil strokes down on the paper.

Swiss Garden Dwarf design for "Egligruen"

Hi everyone. So finally Im back with new project after long winter time brake. This time we have little dwarf/midget swiss friend helping us out with gardening stuff. My task was to design a character which later on was modeled and became alive in 3D world. I am so happy to have a chance to work with such talented and passionate people from Kompost.tv in Switzerland.

Agency: Kompost.tv
Client: Egligruen.ch
Character designer: Vaidas Bagonas

Video ( title page ): www.egligruen.ch

Initial sketches to suggest body proportions an look of the face. Also costume and accessory variations were suggested.

Later on everything turned out to go towards realistic look of the character. More body designs keeping in mind that now our little friend is more like a midget instead of just stone dwarf sculpture.

Final design.
